Note from the Director |

Greetings from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN!

I am looking forward to the launch of our Master of Education with a concentration in Teaching & Learning. I currently serve as the director of our flagship graduate program, the Master of Education in World Language Instruction and have had the privilege of working alongside wonderful graduate faculty and language teachers from across the United States and world in that program to explore innovative and timely topics in the field of language education. For the past six years, I have observed as our program has transformed teachers’ practices, confidence, and leadership. Because of that experience, I am confident that we will have a similar impact on teachers in this new program, and the Department of Education faculty are anxious to meet our first cohort of graduate students.

We are proud of the two main features that set us apart from other graduate programs - our individualized approach to graduate education and the support and care our faculty offer our students. Students continually tell us that they never anticipated having the kind of support from faculty and their cohort that they receive in our program, and it lasts for years after they have graduated. Teachers have endured almost a year of navigating complex teaching situations due to Covid-19, and perhaps more than ever, a cohort of supportive teachers along with supportive faculty are just what practicing teachers need.

Please reach out to set up a meeting with me. I am always happy to meet with prospective graduate students!
