Concordia College-Moorhead does not have institutional grant/scholarship available for our Master’s/Graduate level programs. However, Concordia College-Moorhead does offer this program at a reduced rate upfront from our standard undergraduate tuition rate.
U.S. Residents/Permanent Residents that meet the eligibility requirements to file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are eligible to apply for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan program assuming they have not already borrowed federal loans up to the aggregate maximum for graduate level students of $138,500. This includes all federal loans taken as both an undergraduate and graduate student. The maximum federal loan that a graduate student can borrow per academic year is $20,500 or the cost of attendance for the program, whichever is less.
The FAFSA application can be completed at www.studentaid.gov. Students who are applying for the summer term must have the FAFSA completed for the prior school year. For example: Summer 2023 enrollees wanting to borrow federal loan for Summer 2023 must complete a 2022-23 FAFSA prior to June 30, 2023 which is the final filing date for the 2022-23 FAFSA.
State Grant and Federal Pell Grant are not eligible at the Master’s/Graduate level with the exception of the Federal TEACH Grant.
Please see the attached TEACH Grant Information and TEACH Grant Application documents for additional information on the TEACH Grant Program. It is very important that an applicant for the TEACH Grant be confident that they will meet the teaching requirements of the program. This is very important because if a student receives a TEACH Grant and they do not fulfill these requirements, the Grant will convert to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan that must be repaid with retroactive interest charged from the date the TEACH Grant was disbursed.
