Your path to earning a Master of Education starts here.
The 2022-23 application cycle is open through GradCAS, a centralized application system servicing graduate programs nationwide. Your application and all required materials will be submitted here.
The program operates on a rolling admission basis; review of applications will begin in October 2021 and continue through May 2022 or until the cohort is filled. The program begins the first week of June 2022.
The following are needed to apply to the program:
A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0
A current one-page resume
An essay of at least 500 words, typed and double-spaced. This essay should represent your highest level of academic writing. Provide a description of your professional experiences and background that have contributed to your readiness for graduate education. Specify those unique experiences that prepared you for the Master of Education at Concordia College. Clearly describe your professional goals and how you believe pursuing a Master of Education with a concentration in Teaching and Learning relates to achieving those goals.
Three letters of recommendation from different individuals. The individuals you choose should not be related to you, and should have strong knowledge of your professional character including observation of special skills, your ability to succeed in a graduate program, achievements and/or professional experiences. Please notify your recommenders in advance that a request will be forthcoming. Your recommenders will receive a link to the Liaison Evaluator Portal to create an account and complete the standard form. Recommenders also have the option to upload a personalized letter.

Use the following steps to apply for the program. You may begin the application process before all materials are ready. GradCAS will save your application progress allowing you to return at any time.
Create your account in GradCAS
In the Welcome to GradCAS window, select Start Your Application.
Select Summer 2022 as the semester the program will start.
In the program selection window, type Concordia College in the search box to find the Master of Education.
Complete the three standard GradCAS sections of the application, and the fourth program section where you will upload required documents, assign evaluators and answer program questions.
No second institutional application or fee is required.

International students are encouraged to apply by mid-February. If accepted to the program, this would allow the time needed to obtain a student visa (I-20).
Transcripts |
Students applying with international transcripts must submit their undergraduate transcript(s) to an approved credential evaluation agency for review and validation prior to applying to the program. These agencies can be found on the NACES website. Once validation has been completed, transcript documents can be requested through GradCAS.
English Proficiency |
Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency in English by providing one of the following official test score documents. The test date must be within two years of the date of application. Information on these tests can be obtained online at IELTS.org and TOEFL.org. Students' official results must be received directly from the testing service before enrolling. Concordia's TOEFL code is 6113, no code is required for IELTS.

Financial Requirements |
International students must demonstrate and certify financial support before Concordia can issue an I-20 form. If accepted to the program, students must submit the International Student Financial Aid and Certification Form and a certified bank statement. Further information will be provided on acceptance.
Medical Insurance |
International students are required to carry and show evidence of health insurance valid in the United States while they are enrolled.
