Building skills for today's classrooms.
Concordia's Education Department sets a high standard for excellence, not only for its faculty but for students in the program. Faculty nurture and mentor students through liberal arts experiences, preparing them with more than the skills needed to build a solid curriculum. They are given perspective and insight into other essential qualities needed in classrooms today.
As students transition from our classrooms to their own, we aim to provide consistent, high-quality continued education for all K-16 professionals. This includes resources, training, events and connections to a strong peer community. Our focus is on collaborative sharing and implementing positive innovations in today's classrooms to ensure all students success in the future.
Master of Education in World Language Instruction | An innovative, experiential program that is partnered with Concordia Language Villages, immersion camps in 15 different languages, to create one of the most unique Master's programs in the United States. Language teachers and other professionals from all teaching contexts and language backgrounds are invited to apply to this program, which is designed to challenge and build skills related to language acquisition and language teaching.
Master of Education with a concentration in Teaching & Learning | Designed specifically with working, licensed educators in mind. Our fully online program offers teachers the means to expand their understanding of how children learn and how to apply learning theories to design innovative and equitable lessons, activities, and classroom environments to best serve all students. Additionally, each course is designed to prepare teachers to sit for National Board Certification. Our strong curriculum and experienced faculty will equip you with the knowledge and professional skills you need to stand out as a leader in the classroom.
