Getting to Concordia
Concordia College is easy to find. We are located in the heart of Moorhead, Minnesota.
Building skills for today's classrooms.
Concordia's Education Department sets a high standard for excellence, not only for its faculty but for students in the program. Faculty nurture and mentor students through liberal arts experiences, preparing them with more than the skills needed to build a solid curriculum. They are given perspective and insight into other essential qualities needed in classrooms today.
As students transition from our classrooms to their own, we aim to provide consistent, high-quality continued education for all K-16 professionals. This includes resources, training, events and connections to a strong peer community. Our focus is on collaborative sharing and implementing positive innovations in today's classrooms to ensure all students success in the future.
Teacher Talk! is a safe space to Communicate, Commiserate, Celebrate, & Connect with fellow teachers virtually. All K-12 teachers are welcome to join. Save this time each month to come together and share both successes and frustrations... bring your classroom "wins" to share, questions to discuss and topics to collaborate on as a group.
Teacher Talk is a FREE virtual meet up the first Thursday of the month from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom starting October 7, 2021.

Our fully online program offers teachers the means to expand their understanding of how children learn and how to apply learning theories to design innovative and equitable lessons, activities, and classroom environments to best serve all students. Additionally, each course is designed to prepare teachers to sit for National Board Certification. Our strong curriculum and experienced faculty will equip you with the knowledge and professional skills you need to stand out as a leader in the classroom.
Master of Music in Music Education
Earning an advanced degree in music education is about more than career advancement; pursuing a master’s in music education is an effective way to learn the best strategies for teaching your students. At Concordia, we know that music educators bring a passion for the art of music into the classroom where they share their own knowledge along with new educational and cultural perspectives with students.
This versatile certificate is offered in French, German and Spanish... an ideal solution for language teachers seeking 18 graduate-level credits in the language they teach or those interested in additional graduate credit. Courses are also available to take on an individual basis.
Graduate Elective Courses
Take individual graduate-level courses from the Master of Education in World Language or the Master of Education with a Concentration in Teaching & Learning as a non-degree seeking student. If you decide to take one of the full masters programs, you can apply the courses you've taken.
The Language Institute is a collaborative program offered through Concordia's Department of World Languages & Cultures in partnership with the Concordia Language Villages. This unique program gives students of all ages the opportunity to explore language interactively with others in a comfortable online learning environment.
