Guide to Financial Aid & Scholarships for Male Nurses
Sanford RN Loan Forgiveness Program-Fargo
Sanford Health located in Fargo, ND, makes available a financial resource to assist students with the expenses associated with completion of their nursing degree. In return for the financial resource, the student has the opportunity to become employed as an inpatient Registered Nurse in a full-time status at Sanford Health Fargo.
Eligible students will receive an award of $30,000: $5,000 paid to the student at the beginning of each semester with the remaining amount paid at the beginning of the final semester. After graduation, recipients agree to work for Sanford Health Fargo, as an inpatient Registered Nurse, for a period of 3 years from the start date in a full-time status. Read the full program description, eligibility requirements, and funding details at the link above.
Note: Students unable to fulfill the obligations of the Loan Forgiveness Program would be responsible to repay the loan to Sanford with interest. Reasons for repayment would include stopping out of the program or accepting a job outside of Sanford Health-Fargo.
Financial Aid | Federal Direct Student Loans may be available for students receiving a second undergraduate degree that is different than their initial undergraduate degree. Students must be eligible to file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.studentaid.gov to be evaluated for Federal Direct Loan eligibility. Federal Direct Loans are not available during terms when enrolled less than ½ time (under 6 credits). You may also qualify for private credit-based student loans. We do not offer any institutional grants or scholarships. If you have questions about tuition and financial aid contact the Business Office (218.299.3150) and Financial Aid Office (218.299.3010) on campus.
Scholarships | While scholarships are not provided through Concordia College or the Nursing Department, some employers and regional health systems offer assistance. We encourage you to seek out these opportunities.
