Teacher Mentorship & Retention Grant

As part of the coalition grant between Ottertail County Schools and Concordia College, K-12 educators have an opportunity to take graduate-level coursework through the Master of Education | Teaching & Learning program and gain valuable experience as a new teacher or mentor.

Mentor Teachers

(10 spots available)

2 free professional development credits | EDUC 680: Peer Coaching and Mentorship course

Online October 17-December 9, 2022 | Mondays 6-8 p.m.

  • Option to apply grad credits toward the Master of Education program and receive a 50% tuition discount

  • $3,000 stipend for your work mentoring new teachers in your district

  • Release time to partner with Concordia faculty to provide professional development for new teachers

New Teachers

1-3 Years of Experience (20 spots available)

4 free professional development credits | EDUC 600: Impactful Practices and Engagement course

Online January 9-April 28, 2023 | Tuesdays 6-8 p.m.

  • Option to apply grad credits toward the Master of Education program and receive a 50% discount

  • Release time once per month to attend one hour of professional development with Concordia College and the mentor teachers (topics will vary each month to address the needs of new teachers)

  • Release time to observe an experienced teacher at a different school or in a different school district within the coalition

Gather your friends and colleagues! Teachers participating in this project who wish to continue the Master of Education will be eligible for a cohort discount.
