This course addresses application of social and emotional concepts in educational settings. The course will be organized around major themes that describe current views of learning. Students will gain an understanding of how these themes apply to instruction, assessment, and human development.

Teacher Talk! | Fall 2022
Teacher Talk is a safe space to Communicate, Commiserate, Celebrate, & Connect with fellow teachers. All K-12 teachers are welcome to share both successes and frustrations... bring your classroom "wins" to share, questions to discuss and topics to collaborate on as a group.
Teacher Talk is a FREE virtual meet-up the first Thursday of each month from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. via Zoom, starting October 6, 2022.
The Master of Education | World Language Instruction is an innovative online program designed for working world language and TESOL teachers. A combination of theory and practice enables students to create practical, engaging classrooms. Accelerated summer courses at Concordia Language Villages (CLV) provide immersive learning experiences.
Our Master of Education | Teaching & Learning is ideal for working K-12 teachers. The fully online program equips students with usable tools to create equitable lessons, activities, and learning environments.
The Master of Music | Music Education is an online program ideal for working K-12 music teachers. Learn effective methods to encourage and engage students in whatever context you teach (elementary, general music, band, choir, orchestra, or private lessons). Infuse new instructional strategies directly into your curriculum to cultivate stronger connections to your students through music.
The Graduate Language Certificate (offered in French, German and Spanish) is ideal for language teachers seeking 18 graduate-level credits in the language they teach or those interested in additional graduate credit. Courses are also available to take on an individual basis.
The Teacher Mentorship & Retention of Effective Teachers coalition grant is a partnership between Ottertail County Schools and Concordia College. K-12 educators have an opportunity to take graduate-level coursework through the Master of Education | Teaching & Learning and gain valuable experience as a new teacher or mentor.
The Concordia Language Institute is a collaborative program offered through Concordia's Department of World Languages & Cultures and Concordia Language Villages. Students (post-high school) have the opportunity to explore language interactively online. A majority of courses are for beginners with no previous experience.
