Become a licensed educator to make meaningful contributions in students' lives.
Concordia's Post Baccalaureate Accelerated Teaching Preparation program is ideal for those looking to enter the teaching profession but lacking an education degree or specific education classes. Sometimes it’s only after graduating from college, and even working for a while, that many individuals find true purpose in their lives. The intrinsic rewards and personal satisfaction of teaching appeal to many in these situations. Fortunately, there is a path for those with degrees in specific subject areas. Our teaching preparation program provides that path toward licensure and putting your passion to work in the classroom.
Our Accelerated Teaching Preparation program is designed to prepare degree-holding individuals with specific coursework they need to obtain a Minnesota or North Dakota teaching license (our Minnesota state approved program is accepted for licensure in most other states). We will work with you to meet your focused career goals with a combination of strategic coursework and clinical field experiences delivered over two academic semesters and one summer. We have established STEM tracks for biology, chemistry, mathematics, and world language tracks for German, French, Spanish and Chinese education. For all other discipline area, please contact our admission team to design an individual program.
