Complete foundational coursework for your chosen health profession.

In coordination with the program director, you will customize the course schedule that is right for you. Each track includes core courses and recommended courses based on professional school requirements. 

Students should research specific requirements of health professional schools they are interested in to ensure that they have all the required courses needed for the program. Health professional schools typically update their required and recommended courses on an annual basis. 

In addition to the required science courses for each track, students may be encouraged to take courses in English, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and courses in other academic areas to enable them to be as competitive as possible when applying to medical school and other health professional schools. The courses listed in the “Recommended Courses” table might be required or strongly recommended by different institutions. Many of these courses have content that will support preparation for standardized tests.

As a career changer, if you have taken one or more of the course requirements, other courses may be substituted to strengthen your academic record.  

Students working toward improving academic performance will be aligned with courses to improve current grades, along with supplemental coursework to achieve success in their track. 

Pre-calculus is a prerequisite for the program and should be taken prior to enrollment. Depending on when you apply, you may be able to take Pre-calculus at Concordia before the program begins. Please see the Elective Courses page for options. (Coming Soon)
